ODDS AND ENDS
This final gallery has been reserved for images that do not fall into any particular category. The picture of a Madonna statue in Lisbon, shown below, appealed to me because of its apparent simplicity. I wanted to capture the series of shadows produced by the lighting. The simple textured wall in black and white just worked for me.
This is the piano room in Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire. The sun coming in through the window enhanced the redness and showed the wood grain in the floor. The reflections in the mirror help make it work.
The tide went out on Blackpool beach and reflected the storm clouds moving in.
The photo below was taken at Himley Hall near Dudley, West Midlands. I remember waiting in the bitter cold for the sun to drop to the right place. The dog walkers arrived at the right time and added to the picture.
This was taken at an old bard in the Cotswolds. I used HDR to try to bring out the textures of the stone walls and wood.
This is an old workshop in Cockermouth, Cumbria just asking to be taken in black and white..
This one needed colour though to capture the early morning sun on this Cornish village.
Cornwall again. Tried to get in position to get the houses reflecting in the pool.
Rossi on his way to another win - this time at Donnington Park.
